It’s not unusual to experience issues relating to sex. In fact, in the U.S., 5 in 10 women experience pain during sex, decreased sexual desire, or the inability to experience orgasm. After giving birth, some women feel a loss of sensation during sex. They might also notice a lack of lubrication or a decrease in the elasticity of their vaginas. You can visit Ver Harlen Aesthetics to help you go through it.
You don’t need to feel alone or embarrassed if you and/or your partner encounter some issues in the bedroom. But if you’d like to solve them, there may be a way to do that. The Orgasm Shot® (O-Shot®) can help correct many of these issues. And it’s not only for women who are sexually active or who have given birth. It can also help with urinary incontinence.
O-Shot: An Overview
The O-Shot is a non-surgical procedure that aims to treat sexual dysfunction in women. It stimulates the vagina and increases your ability to achieve orgasm. The O-Shot’s benefits include:
- More intense and frequent orgasms
- Easier arousal
- G-spot orgasms
- Reduced pain during sex
- Increased lubrication
- Relief from urinary incontinence
- Increased clitoral sensitivity and arousal
- Tighter vaginal opening
- Improved texture of the vulva
Eligibility for an O-Shot
You may be a good candidate for the O-Shot if you suffer from any of the problems below:
- Urinary incontinence
- Vaginal dryness
- Reduced sexual arousal
- Diminished sexual desire
- Poor sexual performance and satisfaction
- Decrease or lack of orgasms
- Less intense orgasms
- Loss of sensitivity in vagina and clitoris
- Loss of elasticity
You would also make a great candidate for the O-Shot if:
- You have tried other treatments, medications, and lifestyle changes for sexual dysfunction with little to no improvement – This might include:
- Exercises, like pelvic floor exercises
- The use of lubrication during sex
- Medication for painful sex
- You are looking for a less invasive form of treatment for sexual dysfunction.
O-Shot: The Consultation
Dr. Ver Halen is an experienced, Board-certified cosmetic surgeon. Before you decide to get the O-Shot, Dr. Ver Halen will invite you in for a chat about what the procedure involves and what you can expect from it. This will be a chance for you to clear up any concerns you have and meet Dr. Ver Halen, who will be with you every step of the way during your treatment. The following topics may be discussed at your consultation:
- Your desired outcome and expectations
- Medical history, as well as any medical conditions
- Current use of prescription drugs, dietary supplements, alcohol, tobacco, and/or recreational drugs
- Allergies
- Risks of the procedure
A personal consultation with Dr. Ver Halen is the best way to determine if the O-Shot is the best procedure for you.
O-Shot: The Procedure
The O-Shot procedure first involves drawing blood from one of your arms, the same as in a blood test. The blood is then spun in a centrifuge. This causes the different parts of the blood to separate. This stimulates the growth and repair of cells in the area where it’s injected. This is because this blood component contains growth factors that help to heal soft tissue. This makes the area more sensitive to touch. These injections are safe and widely used to treat all sorts of conditions, such as injured tendons, ligaments, muscles, and joints. In the case of the O-Shot, the sample is injected close to the clitoris and vaginal wall. This area is numbed first, so the procedure is almost painless. The entire procedure is fast and convenient, lasting only around 30 minutes.
O-Shot: The Recovery
Most patients recover quickly after receiving the O-Shot. Standard injections for joints can take up to a few weeks to heal, but the O-Shot has a recovery time of just a few days. The fast recovery is due to the fact that this is a minimally invasive procedure. You’ll also be able to experience the benefits of your O-Shot the same day. This should include an increased sex drive and ability to achieve orgasm.
O-Shot Risks
The O-Shot is a non-invasive procedure. This means there are fewer risks compared to a surgical treatment. Also, since the injection is from your own blood, you won’t be at risk of having an allergic reaction. Still, the O-Shot has potential side effects that include:
- Soreness
- Swelling
- Minor bruising
- Minor bleeding
- Redness
There are also some risks associated with the procedure, although these are rare:
- Overactive sex drive
- A sensation of always being sexually aroused
- Constant vaginal wetness
- Constant awareness of the G-spot
We love to hear about how the O-Shot helps our patients, so keep us updated with the results of your procedure! If side effects or pain persist for more than a few days, book a follow-up consultation with Dr. Ver Halen. He has your best interests at heart and wants to help you achieve your desired results.
